Favorite Things Party – December

December 10, 2013 by Sarah

When I saw that Andrea and Erika were hosting another “Favorite Things Party” this month, I knew I wanted to join in again since I had so much fun last month.  I love seeing what neat things people are nuts over {and getting to know some new friends in the process}!  Please join in if you’d like!
I quickly mentioned my favorite thing for this month in my Thanksgiving Recap post, but it’s seriously one of the things that makes me smile the most when I think back to this year’s Thanksgiving {it’s pitiful really, but I can’t help it}.  It was that good…so of course I had to mention the Bob Evans Pumpkin Supreme Pie.
Back! Pumpkin Supreme Pie

Before publishing this post, I actually called up our local Bob Evans to make sure they are still selling it…and we’re all in luck because they are.  I’m assuming that the entire chain would still be carrying it as well.  My cousin bought it up in Maryland for our Thanksgiving meal back in November and they are still carrying it here in Virginia in December, so I’m hoping that means it will be around through Christmas.
I don’t know the exact price of the pie per slice, but I’m assuming it has to be below $10 since they sell the entire pie for $11.99.  This pie is the perfect combination of pumpkin and cheesecake and is worth every penny.
I don’t know if pumpkin is like the color white….and whether you’d be breaking any major culinary rules by eating it after Thanksgiving, but who the heck cares?  It’s so good and your mouth will thank you {and me} for a long long while.
Your hips?  Not so much.  πŸ™‚

It sounds like lots of people don't have them- I thought it was a nationwide chain but maybe not πŸ™ Make a mental note to snag a piece if you are out of town travelling!! πŸ™‚
