Five on Friday

January 24, 2014 by Sarah

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

I’m linking up again with Darci at The Good Life Blog for Five on Friday.
{ONE}
I’ve been out of town this week and missed the snow days here in Richmond, but we enjoyed being snowed in up in Baltimore.  The kids are spending the weekend with their grandparents while Kev and I spend the weekend with some crazy students from our church.  I don’t know who will be more tired when this weekend is all over…my parents or us!

{TWO}
My sister and I got haircuts yesterday.  She had 2 inches off and I had 4.  Here are our piles of hair after they were finished.  I showed the stylist a picture of Heidi Klum and my sister called me Heidi the whole time I was in the salon.  She’s such a funny big sister!

{THREE}
We went to the National Aquarium while I was up in Baltimore and though it was a wonderful time, I am reminded of why I have no desire to live any further north.  The wind chills were insane and I was cold within about 30 seconds of stepping outdoors.  And those breezes off the harbor are great in summer, but not so fun in winter.  We had a funny encounter with the gentleman collecting tickets and he had the best impression of the camel from the Geico Hump Day commercial.

{FOUR}
I watched Return to Me on TV this week and I am now determined to own it on DVD.  I saw the movie in the theatre when I was in college and have seen it a zillion times since then, but it still stops me in my tracks every time.  Such a great movie and probably on my top 10 list of favorite movies {if I had one}.

 {FIVE}

I have a love/hate relationship with Interstate 95.  I can make great time travelling between Richmond and Baltimore or I can be stuck in traffic for 3 hours and only travel about 9 miles.  It’s totally hit or miss, which is why it drives me crazy.  And will they EVER be finished with all the road work?

It’s been a nice week for us and I hope you can say the same.  If not, at least it’s the weekend, right?
Happy Friday, friends!
