Davis at 2 months

December 17, 2014 by Sarah

It’s hard to believe another month has gone by and you are 2 months old!

Here is what you are up to these days.

* You are eating 7 times a day, usually waking up around 5am or so.  Nursing is going really well, and I’m so thankful!  You are actually pretty fast, so I was relieved to hear from the pediatrician that your growth is great.  It is always a relief to know you are getting what you need.  🙂

* You are not sleeping through the night yet, but you are so close.  You had a couple nights where you slept from 11pm until 7am, but you aren’t consistent yet.  I’m hopeful that you will get there soon!

* You are in a good nap routine.  We had great success with using the Babywise with our other kids, so we’ve been using those same strategies with you.  So far, it seems to be working and you seem very well-rested!  We are still using the Swaddle Me and pacifiers help when you need soothing.

* You are wearing size 2 diapers.  We should have switched you over sooner, but we still had quite a few of the size 1’s left over.  We couldn’t let them go to waste!

* You weighed 13 lbs. 5 ozs. (75%) and measured (95%) at your checkup.  The pediatrician was very pleased with your growth.

* You are wearing 3-6 months clothes now.  You must be long-waisted because  you can still fit into some of your 3 months pants, but 3 month onesies and sleepers are definitely too short on you.

* You don’t mind tummy time, but you don’t necessarily love it either.  You are still sort of indifferent about it.  You have pretty decent neck control now, so you must be building those muscles!  🙂

* You are still sleeping in the pack n’ play in our bedroom.  I really don’t want to disturb the older kid’s sleep, so I’m planning to wait until you are sleeping 12 hours at night before moving you in with your sister.

*  You have definitely “woken up” more recently, although you still have fairly short wake times throughout the day {usually just over an hour before going back down for nap}.  I love seeing your pretty blue eyes though.

You seem to be a low key baby, which is so nice.  You are in a good routine these days, but also flexible {Can we say naps on the go?} when you need to be.  Although my one-on-one time with you is hard to come by, I treasure your sweet snuggles and am trying to eat up every second of it.

I love you more and more each day, Davis!
